TENCEL™ or Cotton? Check the Product Specifications First
A material name is only a starting point. Before choosing TENCEL™ or cotton, check the composition, fabric construction, dimensions, finishing, care instructions, and the feel you actually prefer.
TENCEL™ is Lenzing AG's brand of Lyocell and Modal fibers, while cotton is a type of fiber. A fair comparison therefore starts with specific products, not just two prominent names in their titles.
Start with the stated composition
Look for the fiber type and percentages on the label or product page. Collection names, colors, and large numbers in a title do not replace composition details.
For TENCEL™ branded products, check whether the specifications state TENCEL™ Lyocell or TENCEL™ Modal fibers. For cotton products, also check the fiber and fabric construction details actually listed by the manufacturer.
If that information is not available, do not guess from a photograph. Ask the MOJOKOE team to confirm the relevant product details or supplier sheet.
Do not compare numbers with different units
Specification numbers may look easy to compare, but they do not necessarily mean the same thing. Thread count counts warp and weft threads within an area of fabric, while yarn count describes yarn size or relative thickness through a particular numbering system.
One number therefore cannot simply be weighed against another. A higher number does not automatically mean a feel you will prefer; fabric construction, weight, and finishing also play a part.
Choose a feel that suits your bedroom routine
Start with preferences you can recognize: a smoother surface with more drape, or a fabric that feels fuller and more structured.
Use the product page description as a starting point, then compare it with a swatch or bedding you already own where possible. Avoid assuming that all TENCEL™ or all cotton products feel the same.
Check dimensions and care before falling for a color
Make sure your mattress length, width, and side height match the selected variant. Then read that specific product's care instructions, rather than a general rule for an entire fiber category.
Remember to confirm the current ordering process and preparation estimate. Operational details can change, so your final decision should follow the product page and checkout information at the time.
Compare products that are actually available
Start with the MOJOKOE Bed Sheet collection. From there, you can view TENCEL™ Solid 80s and Egyptian Cotton 1000TC as two separate product pages.
Open each page to read its details; a product name alone is not enough to judge quality. If any specifications remain unclear, contact the MOJOKOE team before choosing a variant.
